Busy, Busy, Busy

I keep taking pictures of everything I've been working on, cooking or things we've been doing. Lately we've been so busy that I've had a hard time finding time to post everything so I'm just going to do a big giant post and catch up.

This is what we've been up to lately:

Sanding and painting this to use for a changing table.
Before:

 After: (still needs nobs)

Stocking up on cloth diapers

Painting the baby bed...used to be white.

Hanging nursery art.

Sewing the baptismal gown...

nursing cover, binkie clips, diaper shirts, burp cloths and other baby items

Packing the hospital bag & installing the car seat.

Midwife appointments every week now.

Cooking more lobsters.

Making killer pizza...

...oven fried zucchini with homemade garlic tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese...

...orange, cardamom breakfast rolls...

 ...blueberry and ginger jam...
...and stocking the freezer with pizza, dough, bbq, pie crusts, breakfast breads, chicken, beef, cookie dough, chicken stock and anything else to keep me from going to the grocery store and minimal cooking for the first two weeks after baby's arrival.

Movies in the park on Monday nights in Porstmouth. We've had to miss a few due to a breastfeeding class and other engagements but next week is Toy Story 2! One of my all time favorites.

So that's just a few things that we've been doing along with all the other normal things. Hopefully I'll stay up to date a little better now so I won't have to make such huge posts.

Nursery Furniture & Baby Clothes

We are slowly but surely getting things ready for the nursery. Nathans been working a lot lately and some of the baby projects he has to do so it's been hard to find time to work on them. Last week we got the bookcase painted. Originally it was going to be white and pale blue but the blue we had leftover from a previous project was dried up so we used some leftover grey that we had.

After

It turned out really well and I love grey so the loss of the blue paint wasn't a huge disappointment. If we were able to paint I would have done a light grey on the walls but we can't :(

I bought these metal baskets/bins when we were in Iowa for almost nothing and they're going in the cubbies in the bookcase. Nathan is going to sandblast the rust off and we'll put a coat of clear paint on them to freshen them up a bit.

I've been doing a bit of sewing lately for the baby. Just simple things like bloomers and diaper shirts. The little yellow one is leftover from when I was a baby.

I had to post a picture of this handmade snowsuit that I found at Goodwill for $1. It's actually a brighter yellow than it looks in the picture so our child will look like a giant banana.

Anyways, that's what we've been up to lately. I'm off to work on the baptismal gown.

12 Weeks & Onesie Love

Ok so I'm going to start the pregnancy posts. I probably wouldn't do post but Brandy insisted that I send her belly pictures and I figured this was the best way to do it. My sad camera phone isn't too amazing.

So this is 12 weeks...not much to see. Looks like I just ate too much for dinner.
(excuse my naked dress form)

So I came across these screen printed onesies on Etsy. Adorable!

And, yes, I will have no problem putting this Triumph motorcycle onesie on a girl.
