Almost The Last Snow

I'm pretty sure I've told ya'll how crazy our weather has been here in NH. The middle of March was more like the end of April and April has been more like the beginning of March. We even had a day that was 74 degrees last month. Crazy!!

Last week we had about 6 inches fall and I couldn't pass up some pictures of what might be the last snow of the season. Of course, it snowed this last Sunday too but this was a much prettier snow so I'm really glad I got out to take these.

Edith was very excited to plop herself down and eat snow again.

I told George to stand next to Edith for a picture but he really wanted a picture in the woods.

My snow babies are pretty cute!

Oh, and I'm ok with no more snow this season NH....just saying!

Snowy Saturday

Just a little bit of what do on a snowy Saturday.

Nathan attached a plow to Georges dump truck so he could be just like all the other plows he sees going down the road.

That's the pile in front of our bedroom window.

The piles were so high at the end of the driveway that we had to climb on top to shovel off enough so we could see to pull out.

Snow, Snow, Snow, and More Snow

We've had an unusually cold winter here in NH. I know a lot of other places have too. January is always is the coldest and February brings the most snow. These are some pictures from around the yard. We've gotten another 6 inches since and are supposed to get more tonight.

Our trail to the compost.

It's way over my tall boots now so around 20 inches.

Sledding

We had just enough snow a few weeks ago to try out George's sled. He's a huge fan! After pushing him around for a while I though he would want to get out and play. He was very upset that I got him out so  he just sat in his sled and ate snow off his mittens.

Cotton Candy

There are two types of snow (that I know of) wet and dry. I categorize them as cotton candy and powdered sugar.  Our last big snow was powdered sugar. The kind that's dry and light and easy to shovel, remove from your car and drive in. Sunday we had about 3-5 inches of cotton candy snow. This snow sticks to everything, is heavy and wet, and causes horrible road conditions. Wet cotton candy snow does make for the best winter wonderland because everything is covered in white fluff....as you can see.
