Farmers Market Update

So it just happens that the best farmers market that we've found around Charlotte is only 10 minutes from our house! We knew that there was a market in Harrisburg but we could never figure out when it was. A few weeks a go we were out running errands in town on and a Monday and saw that the farmers market was open. It is amazing!! All items are super local from either Harrisburg or Concord.

Eggplant

Ladies & Gentlemen We Have Cucumbers!

This week we had our first pickings from the garden. We are going to have more cucumbers than we know what to do with.


I quickly sliced the cucumbers with onion, fresh dill, salt & pepper and a little red wine vinegar. It's starting to be a nightly thing...throw in tomatoes too! I can't wait for our heirloom tomatoes to be ready.

Compost Pail

I've been searching for one of these since we started composting last fall. I found this on craigslist last week for $10! It's brand new from Williams-Sonoma the lady just never used it!
