Merry Christmas!!
Christmas Eve after I got off work we headed down to the boro for Christmas. We got there just in time for the Trinity Pres. Christmas Eve service. After that we headed to the Madson's Christmas Eve party. Brandy is amazing at putting parties together.
Christmas day we started out with an amazing breakfast and then we opened up presents. Lucie wasn't really that interested in taking a nap.

First Christmas Tree
A couple weeks ago we went to Lowe's to buy supplies for the pantry and to pick out a Christmas tree. I love decorating for Christmas and I've been waiting a long time to decorate my own house. Once I remember to charge my camera batteries I will take and upload pictures of the finished tree and wreath.
First look...Nathan says it's not that great.
Second try...much better!
Craving
Last night I had a craving for something sweet so I made these amazing brownie cupcakes. Here is the recipe...I added orange extract instead of the vanilla. Yummy!!
Brownie Cupcakes
4 squares of semi-sweet chocolate
2 sticks butter
Melt the above in a double boiler over low heat.
Mix:
1 3/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
Add 4 eggs, one at a time to the flour and sugar stirring as little as possible.
Add: 2 teaspoons vanilla, chocolate mixture and 1 cup of pecans to flour mixture.
Pour in muffin cups (about half full). Bake 25-30 minutes in a 350 oven.
Yield: 12-16

Day 2
Honeymoon Day 1
So after getting up at 5 A.M. on Sunday morning we found out that our flight had been changed from 9:45 A.M. to 1 P.M and they had added layover!!! We were disappointed that we would be arriving in Maine 6 hours later than we had planned. We did get to enjoy a nice cup of coffee on the back porch of our cabin which was very nice.
After arriving in Camden, Maine we pulled up to the B & B and sat down to dinner. They were having a beer tasting and sushi night. It was AMAZING! We're still talking about how good it was. It also just happened that Sunday night they were letting dinner guest into the kitchen. I, of course, had to take pictures.
I want this pot rack...along with the pots.
Tired, full and ready to go to bed!

Early Christmas Present
My amazing husband came home with this in the back of the truck to day!! He said he was going to get my Christmas present but I couldn't think of anything that I even really would have asked for. I obviously had no idea!!! The handle bars are hideous so that's one of the first things to be changed. Hopefully we will have it ready to ride by spring.
