Matching Pillow Cases
We have never had pillow cases that matched our bedspread very well or that matched each other. Everytime we unpack and move in someplace I vow to make pillow cases to match our bed. Thanks to Nathan ripping a hole in on of our overly washed pillow cases I finally was forced to sit down and make these.
Last summer Nathan bought this remnant of fabric for me and it was the perfect color. I used Dana's tutorial found here.

Portland, ME
Last week Nathan and I went to Portland ME for a midweek night away. We bought tickets to see The Infamous Stringdusters who were playing on Wednesday night. The concert was good thought it's become more of a production since we saw them 3 years ago in Savannah.
On Thursday we went to Allagash Brewery for a tour. I think Nathan is going to do a more lengthy post on this so I won't expound too much.

Mexican food or anything closely related is very rare around here and the few places we have found you have to hash out the big bucks. I found this little place, El Rayo, online and it was fantastic. It was a cross between Mexican and Caribbean. The beans and rice were by far the best I've had.
Nathan had beef nachos and I picked a wonderful pulled pork taco with roasted pineapple. Both were very yummy!
On the way out of Portland headed back to NH we stopped by Len Libby Chocolatier. Len Libby houses the worlds only life size chocolate moose. Lenny the moose is constructed out of 1700 pounds of milk chocolate.
