Thanksgiving 2013

We had a great Thanksgiving here in NH. We started with Orange Cardamom Cinnamon Rolls, eggs, bacon and orange juice for breakfast. Since most cinnamon rolls have dairy in them George hasn't ever had one. He, of course, loved them.

We hung out most of the day and baked. George loved having his daddy home for 4 whole days!...I did too.

I made Pecan Pie and Pumpkin Bread Pudding for dessert. It has been way too long since I've had a good slice of pecan pie. Boy, was it good! The bread pudding didn't disappoint either. Thanks to homemade pumpkin puree from friends it was even better than imagined. I'm making it again for a church event on Sunday.

This year we passed up hosting and shared Thanksgiving dinner with our friends the Kahns. It was a lot of fun and George had his friend Noah to play with after dinner so I think they had fun terrorizing the poor dog.

George wasn't old enough to enjoy Thanksgiving food last year. He liked everything he ate but was a little distracted by his friend sitting next to him.
