Last Saturday we took a day off from painting and working on the house to ride the bike up to
Blowing Rock and
Boone. It was a lot of fun to get away. The weather was perfect for riding and I really liked both places. While we were in Blowing Rock we at lunch at the Six Pence Pub (also have one in Savannah). The food was great and Nathan and I tried something new...

...Scotch Eggs! Scotch Eggs are hard boiled eggs wrapped in bacon or sausage coated in bread crumbs and either deep fried or baked. They are served cold usually with a salad. I'm not a huge fan of hard boiled eggs but these were awesome!

I had fish-n-chips and...

...Nathan had Guinness beef. All was very tasty.

This is favorite of mine and Michael's in SAV. We had some of our wedding pictures in front of Six Pence actually since it is a block away from IPC. The Banger's and Mash and Shepherds Pie is AMAZING just so you know next time you go!
